I bought a probe thermometer a week or so ago and have been looking for a reason to use it. I also have some leftover hamburger from the sloppy joes that needs to be used up, so I figure I’ll try baking some hamburgers.
I built a rig out of a cooling rack and a half-sheet pan to bake the hamburgers on.
I had 18 oz of hamburger meat left so I formed three 6oz patties, placed the probe in one patty and placed in a 350 degree oven with the thermometer set to 160 degrees.
