Apple Rice

First attempt at a new dish

Ingredients:

2 cups Apple Cider

1 cup White Rice

1/4 cup Sugar

1/2 tsp Nutmeg, freshly grated

1/2tsp ground cinnamon

Raisins (optional)

Process:

Combine Cider, Sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon in saucepan, and bring to boil.

Reduce heat to lowest setting, stir in rice, cover and simmer 20 min.

Mix with raisins if desired.

Eat.

 

Reactions:

The rice didn’t quite fully cook.   Probably change simmering time to 25 min.

Flavor was very good, very sweet, probably best as a garnish instead of a course.

Very good with raisins, may try it with grated carrots in the future.
