I made potato chowder a while back and wanted to try it again but can’t remember the recipe. (Which frankly is the whole reason for this blog) I trolled the internet for some recipes and came up with some common ingredients. Here’s what I’ve got.
It’s Dungeons and Dragons night so I’m cooking for a group:
Ingredients:
10 lbs white potatoes (diced)
3 cans (14.5 oz) Chicken Broth
2 cans (10 3/4oz) Condensed Cream of Broccoli Soup
1 can (12oz) 2% Evaporated Milk
1 can (10 3/4oz) Condensed Cheddar Cheese Soup
8 0z Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese (grated)
I put it in the slow cooker, stirred and turned on high.
Cook for 5 and a halfish hours
(I added the cheese about an hour into the cooking time because Ezra felt it needed more cheese)
The chowder came out rather soupy, but the flavor was very good. The liberal addition of crackers greatly improved the consistancy.
